17% commission. No monthly driver fee.
Under our planned payment model, Via keeps 17% of the fare on a completed ride and the remaining 83% goes to the assigned driver. Via covers payment processing fees. The demo owner portal controls commission and pricing; these are plans for launch, not a promise of guaranteed earnings.
Local requests that suit your vehicle
We are testing nearby driver matching, with requests offered to one suitable driver at a time. Vehicle categories include Standard, Premium, XL, 7-seater and wheelchair-accessible. Category assignment will depend on vehicle suitability and approval.
A clear view of your work
The driver demo lets you explore going online, trip offers, pickup details and earnings. Passenger and driver accounts are separate, while trip updates connect both sides. There are no real passenger requests or payouts in the demo.
What you will need before approval
Our onboarding plans cover your identity, right to work, driving licence, private hire driver licence, vehicle licence, hire-and-reward insurance and vehicle compliance. Screening provider connections and licensed operator arrangements still need to be confirmed. Submitting a demo application does not complete a real check or give permission to carry passengers.
Help shape a local platform
We want to build a useful service around drivers’ local knowledge and passengers’ everyday journeys. Our starting area is Brighton & Hove; coverage can grow as approved drivers join. Explore the driver registration demo to see the workflow we are testing.
